AI Review

We are dedicated to preserving human creativity. Our review process thoroughly checks all submissions to confirm that no AI-generated content is present, supporting genuine, original work from our participants.

Content Review System

At The Order of the Written Word, we take the integrity of creative work seriously, which is why we use both GPTZero and Copyleaks to help identify AI-generated content. While these tools are useful, we acknowledge that no AI checker is foolproof.

We also use Duplichecker to test for general plagiarism.

Our strongest asset is our founder, Holly Rhiannon, who works in the copywriting industry. With extensive experience using and detecting AI, Holly is highly skilled at identifying AI-generated content. Her expertise adds an essential human layer to the review process.

That said, submitting your work for AI checking is not mandatory. This challenge is a personal accomplishment for you. However, for participants aiming for prizes or opportunities like publication with The Stygian Society, we will check your work as part of the evaluation process.

No, AI checks are not mandatory unless you're aiming for prizes or potential publication opportunities.

  2. What happens if AI-generated content is found in my work?
If AI content is detected, it will disqualify you from any prize-related opportunities, including publication consideration.

  3. What if the AI checker mistakenly flags my work?
Our review process includes a human evaluation to avoid false positives. Holly Rhiannon will personally review flagged pieces.

  5. Are the AI tools you use reliable?
While GPTZero and Copyleaks are industry-standard tools, no AI checker is 100% accurate. That’s why we rely heavily on human expertise.
